New Redvers is a delightful Vicorian Villa situated in a residential part of Torquay and set in its own secluded lawned gardens filled with mature trees and flowering shrubs.


Here at New Redvers we specialise in the care of people with learning disabilities and our fully trained, committed and enthusiastic team of staff can assist with not only meeting a client's individual daily needs. Our aim is to provide as far as possible everything to ensure our residents have an active and improved quality of life here at our home.  

 
The rooms here are bright, comfortable, tastefully decorated and furnished with hot & cold wash basins, colour TV's and call bells in all rooms. We also provide En-suite facilities and some of our rooms have views overlooking the gardens

  Relax in the spacious lounge overlooking the lawned gardens where one can read, chat with friends, watch television or just enjoy the relaxed surroundings that Redvers has to offer.

 
Breakfast, lunch and evening meals are served in the dining room which includes a varied and healthy first class menu using only the finest local produce.

in our beautiful gardens.

PHILOSOPHY OF CARE

The need to treat the whole person is often forgotten and their dignity and self esteem jeopardised.

The better we are at communicating with our residents, the more we will get to know about the whole person and thus be able to meet their individual needs. Interaction must therefore be attempted at an adult level.

Dignity and respect can be maintained by respecting the client's experience, position held in the community, achievements and knowledge.

Politeness by the client should be noted and warrant a response.

It is important to always explain procedures that are about to happen and why.

Daily events from the immediate environment and national and international news should be discussed.

A concern for privacy and personal likes and dislikes should always be shown.

It is most important that courtesy is ALWAYS shown to our clients in all circumstances as this ensures and preserves their self-esteem.
