Holcombe
Hall is a beautifully appointed Victoran home set in 3 acres
of of grounds full of trees and flowering shrubs, in an elegant
position with breathtaking
panoramic sea
views across Babbacombe bay.
The home has a philosphy of care which provides a caring and
personal nursing service in a safe and stimulating environment
for the elderly infirm, whilst preserving the individual's independence
and dignity, allowing as much personal expression and choice
as possible.
Most of the rooms have extensive sea-views. Other bedrooms overlook
the beautiful gardens. The single or twin bedded rooms are comfortably
furnished with the additional safety feature of pressure-pads,
fitted under the carpet at each side of the beds and connected
to the nurse call system.
The two spacious lounges have delightful views across the gardens
and comfortable chairs are arranged to create a homely atmosphere
where residents may enjoy recreational activities, listen to
music or watch television.The dining room is spacious and tastefully
furnished and all meals are prepared by our own catering staff.
A varied and appetising menu is provided for our residents,
with attention to special diets and requirements.
There is 24-hour nursing and caring cover. Periodic medical
assessments are carried out by local general practitioners.
Occupational and reminiscence therapy is part of everyday activity
and residents are given the opportunity to enjoy escorted outings
amd visits.
Maximum mobility is encouraged at the home and all residents
are able to maintain their outside contacts with friends and
relatives.
