Grange Lea Residential Home
Grange-Lea is a
family run retirement home of quality, character and warmth
in Preston, on the outskirts of Paignton, in the southwest of
England.Set in an elevated
position, within the tranquil setting of its own spacious grounds,
our caring and fully trained staff provide well-planned individual
care and full waking care and attention 24 hours a day.
Grange-Lea is fully accredited and registered with the Commission
for Social Care Inspection for 32 residents.All our rooms are
single, though we have a facility for couples to share a room,
all are en-suite and there is a wheelchair capable shaft lift
to all floors, making access to the lovely garden available
to all residents. We can offer rooms with either a sea or garden
view and many of the rooms have doors opening directly into
our green and shady grounds. We encourage our residents to bring
personal items of furniture and pictures and every room has
a TV point, a call bell system and private telephone lines can
be provided on request.
We have assisted bathrooms and special wheel chair accessible
shower room. Our aim is to provide the best possible level of
care in a warm, comfortable and friendly family home. We provide
that level of care with highly trained and happy staff to ensure
our residents enjoy the highest quality of life. Grange-Lea
is fully accredited and registered with the Commission for Social
Care Inspection.
Nutritious high quality food is provided and can be taken in
our dining room or in the resident's own room.
Special diets are catered for and, in fact, would be part of
a detailed individual Care Plan that is maintained, and continually
reviewed and updated, for each resident.The Grange-Lea Residential
Care Home is located in Preston, between Torquay and Paignton,
and about half a mile from the seafront. The idyllic village
of Cockington is only a little further away.
There are special events organised throughout the year which
our residents can partake in if they wish, with visits to the
theatre, cream teas on Dartmoor, and fish and chips in Totnes
for example. Our caring staff provide routinely a full entertainment
and activities programme.
