Coombeswood House
Sam
and Marjorie Cooke and their staff welcome you to this lovely,
lively place to live. Coombes Wood is a delightful Country house,
set in a beautiful location edging fields and woods yet close
to the facilities of Kingsteignton and Newton Abbot.
Coombes Wood has very pleasant
gardens and the grounds cover some two acres which offer ponds,
many mature trees and shrubs and a profusion of plant life and
creatures.
We offer long and short stay quality care 24 hours a day and
an excellent quality of life for people over 65 years who have
care needs which may include frailty, physical disability or
mental helth problems, such as poor memory or confusion, depression
anxiety etc.
We also offer Day Care which enables us to get to know prospective
residents - and for them to try us out.
There are eighteen single and one double room and nearly all
have en-suite toilets. Many have french doors onto the veranda
or wonderful view down the valley.All rooms here are bright,
comfortable, and tastefully decorated and furnished to a very
high standard.
Residents can have their own colour television and telephone
in their rooms.Residents can relax in the lounge or our conservatory
overlooking the lawned gardens, where one can meet old and new
friends or just enjoy the peace and tranquility that Coombes
Wood has to offer.
We also have a safe secure area for people with Dementia who
need to wanderBreakfast, lunch and High tea is served in the
dining room which includes a varied and healthy first class
menu using only the finest local produce.
