Ashdown Residential Home
Ashdown
has been established since 1978 and since 1989 the home has
been run by Dave and Cathy Rogers the resident proprietors.
We are registered by the National Care Standards Commission
and Ashdown has been accredited to provide residential, respite
and day care for male and female clients aged 25 plus with learning
disabilities.
All the bedrooms are tastefully decorated and have their own
television and telephone points. Residents are encouraged to
bring their own furniture and have their room decorated according
to their wishes.Many of the rooms have En-suite facilities.
The lounge is an ideal place to meet other residents, watch
television or read. Meals can be eaten in the adjacent dining
room where a balanced and varied cuisine is prepared and fresh
fruit and vegetables are used whenever possible while special
diets and religious requirements will be catered for when necessary.
Relax in the conservatory over looking the gardens. The
lawned gardens have been landscaped and planted with a wide
variety of shrubs, bushes and trees and there is also an ornamental
pond with fish. The patio
is furnished with tables and chairs and the residents are encouraged
to make full use of the grounds.

home operates an open visiting policy although prior notice
